Handed in works to the North Devon Arts Christmas Exhibition in Joy Street, Barnstaple, today! See post of 29th October, for more details.
I seem to have been handing in works all over the place this month, so far. Sunday 10th November, I handed in a small painting to Exeter Castle for the SWAc (South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts) open exhibition, which runs from November 12th - 23rd and the gallery is open daily from 10am - 4.30pm. The address is: Castle Street, Exeter, EX4 3PU. There is an online catalogue on their website: www.southwestacademy.org.uk

On Monday, I had a call from Alison Nicholson, who is the owner/manager of Tea & Togs in Fore Street, Ilfracombe, who wanted some of my work to display in her shop. As she is in Ilfracombe, works with a seaside flavour were requested. Alison also accepted for sale, christmas cards with the Seadreams image. I’m not sure how many other pieces Alison plans to hang before christmas, but she will be including more in the new year.
It’s handing in today and tomorrow at the Burton Art Gallery in Bideford, for the ‘Friends of the Burton’ Winter Exhibition. The Burton Art Gallery, now know as the Burton at Bideford, hosts this event each year at this time and it is an opportunity to find some attractive and engaging works that could make lovely Christmas presents for some lucky people.
I have handed in two works - ink paintings on Yupo paper, mounted and framed under glass, entitled Monochrome I & II, both priced at £295. 00, images below, and hope at least one will be hung. Do go and have a look. The exhibition private view is on Friday 15th November and the exhibition runs from 16th November - 22nd December. The Burton is open seven days a week 10am - 4pm, apart from Sundays when the opening is 11am.
